Voluma: No More Hollow Cheeks

Conveniently Located to Serve the Dallas, Fort Worth, Collin, and Denton Counties.

Skincare. Woman with beautiful face touching healthy facial skin.

When the body loses subcutaneous fat and collagen as a result of the aging process, the cheeks become hollow and gaunt. This can make a person appear older and tired.

Juvederm Voluma is specifically designed for volume restoration in the cheek and midface area. It is approved by the FDA and has been proven to be quite safe.

This facial filler is made up of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that helps bind water molecules to the cells, creating volume.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Voluma?

Voluma can be used by people of all ages. It is minimally invasive when compared to surgery. Some younger patients may not always make ideal surgery candidates, and fillers provide a great alternative.

Younger patients with early fat-volume loss are ideal candidates due to their excellent skin elasticity.

What Is a Voluma Treatment Like?

A numbing cream is applied 15 to 20 minutes prior to the treatment, with the treatment itself taking 10 to 20 minutes to perform.

A tiny needle or cannula is inserted into the skin and Voluma is administered carefully and precisely; because of the numbing cream, discomfort is minimized. Voluma is also formulated with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to enhance comfort.

Patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment. A degree of temporary mild discomfort has been reported by some patients after their treatments. Ice is a good option for patients with more sensitive skin.

Follow-up assessments should be scheduled for two to four weeks after the injections.

What Are the Results of a Voluma Treatment?

Results can be seen immediately after the treatment and have been seen to last for as long as two years. This makes it an extremely long-lasting injectable treatment. Factors like the area treated, injection technique, and the rate at which the patient’s tissues break down the filler affect the duration of results.

If any complication presents itself, Juvederm Voluma can be easily dissolved with a simple procedure. This quick and simple treatment involves using an enzyme to dissolve the hyaluronic acid.

Is Voluma Right for You?

Voluma’s most redeeming feature is that it works by adding volume to the facial tissue on a larger scale. Voluma adds volume to your existing facial tissue, which also smoothes wrinkles. Voluma makes a more even and natural-looking difference without feeling bumpy from nodules that form as a result of thicker fillers.
