What is Juvederm?

Juvederm® is a line of dermal fillers that is commonly used to smooth lines and wrinkles in the face, as well as add volume where necessary in order to provide a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Juvederm® is a hyaluronic acid product, which is a natural component of the skin and soft tissues. Juvederm® products are created using an innovative Hylacross technology that involves cross-linking of molecules, which forms a smooth gel that lacks the granular consistency of some other injectable products. This makes Juvederm® an excellent choice to provide natural results for improvement in the lips and lines around the mouth and nose.

Depending on the person and the area injected, Juvederm® products typically last for 6-12 months or more. Dr. Cain and Dr. Richardson are both expert injectors who perform their own injections and can help you determine which products would be best to give you the results you desire based on your particular concerns during your consultation.

How Much Does Juvederm® Cost?

The cost for Juvederm® will depend on several factors. The number of sessions will influence the final price, as will the severity of the cosmetic issues being addressed.

What is Vollure?

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is the newest addition to the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers. Vollure™ softens moderate to severe facial wrinkles in order to create a smoother overall appearance. Vollure™ is designed primarily to improve the smile lines or “parentheses” around the mouth that we commonly call the nasolabial folds or marionette lines. Vollure™ utilizes new Vycross cross-linking technology to allow the product to retain the softness and natural feeling of products like Juvéderm®, but to give longer-lasting results, with studies showing Vollure™ lasts up to 18 months with optimal treatment. Vollure™ is a soft injectable product and is made up of hyaluronic acid particles suspended in a water-based gel form. This allows Vollure™ to fill in wrinkles and lines and reduce the signs of aging.

Vollure™ fits beautifully into the Juvéderm® family of fillers between the softest and “lightest” product, Volbella® (which works best in the lips and tear trough areas), and the “heaviest” of Juvéderm® products, Voluma® (which works amazingly well in places like the cheeks and temples).

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Cain are both expert injectors who perform their own injections and can help you determine which products would be best to give you the results you desire based on your particular concerns during your consultation.

What is Voluma?

Voluma® is a filler in the Juvederm® line of products. As its name suggests, Voluma® is most effectively used for adding volume to areas of the face that have lost volume due to the natural aging process. Replacing this volume helps to create a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance. Voluma® contains hyaluronic acid, a substance that exists naturally in the skin and soft tissues, and which attracts and binds to water molecules when injected, creating a healthy and refreshed appearance to the skin. It is important that all fillers, including Voluma®, be injected in the appropriate locations and amounts to provide natural results that avoid looking overdone. Dr. Cain and Dr. Richardson are both expert injectors of facial fillers that perform their own injections, and they can help you determine the treatment plan that will provide the best results based on your particular concerns during your consultation.

What is volbella?

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is a hyaluronic acid-based viscous injectable gel within the Juvéderm family of fillers. Volbella® is designed primarily for the lips, but is also a very elegant option for the tear trough area. Volbella® is a very soft and natural-feeling product that blends beautifully into the lips when injected properly. Volbella® helps with smoothing fine lines, vertical lines, and adding subtle volume to the lips. Some patients are troubled by naturally thin lips, or lips that have become thinner with age. Others are particularly concerned with vertical lines that run through the border of the lip, or fine lines around the mouth. Volbella® works great in all of these areas. Volbella® is not designed to create huge lips, but adds more definition and creates a very natural enhancement. CLICK HERE to read more about lip enhancement options.

In the tear trough area, Volbella® feels very soft and natural and gives beautiful results as well. This can work to reduce shadowing, hide lower eyelid bags, and produce a less hollow and more youthful appearance. CLICK HERE to read more about treatment of dark circles around the eyes.

Volbella® is designed to last up to one year, and most patients require less product at subsequent injections to achieve similar results.

Volbella® was named a 2017 Allure Best of Beauty Breakthrough Award Recipient!

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Cain are both expert injectors who perform their own injections and can help you determine which products would be best to give you the results you desire based on your particular concerns during your consultation.

What is Restylane?

Restylane is one of many hyaluronic acid fillers that are used for facial rejuvenation and adding volume. There are several products in the Restylane family, including Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne. These products are all similar in that they are made of hyaluronic acid (a natural component in the skin and soft tissues). Each product is designed for slightly different uses and areas, but all come in the form of a clear gel that is injected into the tissues to achieve the desired result.

Restylane is a well-known product that has been around for many years with a long track record of success and safety. Restylane is very versatile and can be used in many different locations in the face to achieve beautiful results. Restylane can be used to restore volume in the cheeks, augment the lips, fill tear troughs, and improve moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines. Restylane also works quite well in the “smile lines” of the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines that run from the jaw line to the corners of the mouth. Depending on the location of injection, Restylane can be effective for 6-12 months, or even longer in many cases.

Restylane Lyft (formerly known as Perlane) is designed for injection more deeply into the tissues than regular Restylane. This product works well for restoring lost volume in the cheeks, mid-face, and other areas such as deep nasolabial folds. As the face ages, the soft tissues of the cheeks and mid-face descend and often need support to maintain their youthful appearance and shape. Restylane Lyft works to correct these issues, and may last 12-18 months depending on the site of injection and the individual.

Restylane Silk is designed primarily for fine lines and wrinkles. This product makes very elegant changes around the mouth area, and can be used to provide definition to the vermillion border of the lips, add volume to the pink lip, and fill fine lines and wrinkles in various locations. The vertical lines around the mouth respond quite well to Restylane Silk. This product is usually injected more superficially into the fine lines. Most patients can expect to see 6 months of noticeable improvement (depending on the site of injection), but some will see the effects last much longer.

As facial plastic surgeons and expert injectors, Dr. Richardson and Dr. Cain perform all of their own injections.

What is Radiesse?

Most facial fillers are hyaluronic acid-based products, but Radiesse is a calcium-based filler that is made of calcium-hydroxylapetite suspended in a water-based gel. Radiesse can be used in many locations throughout the facial soft tissues for correction of lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume. While each patient’s experience is unique, depending on the location of the injection, Radiesse can last 6 to 18 months.

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Cain are experts in all types of facial fillers. They will custom tailor your treatment based on your areas of concern and can discuss with you the pros and cons of each particular product during your consultation.

What is the RHA® Collection?

Combat the effects of aging without the “frozen look” effect by getting treatment with RHA® in Dallas. The RHA® Collection prides itself on creating incredibly natural results. Restore your bright and youthful appearance today!

RHA®, or resilient hyaluronic acid, injectable dermal fillers are designed to correct wrinkles and dynamic folds on the face. The RHA® Collection from Revance is a line of hyaluronic acid fillers that are designed to be resilient enough to adapt to dynamic facial movement. Dynamic wrinkles may form in areas of the face with repetitive movement, such as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. The RHA® Collection uses a gentle manufacturing process that helps to preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid, making it more like the native hyaluronic acid present in your own skin. There are currently three unique formulations in The RHA® Collection which can be used in different areas to tailor the treatment to each individual patient. Texas Facial Aesthetics is proud to be one of a few select practices offering The RHA® Collection in the Dallas – Fort Worth area.

Ideal Candidates for RHA® Treatments

If you are 22 years of age or older, you may be a good candidate for RHA® injections. If you want to smooth away fine, moderate, or harsh age lines without looking stiff, then you may be recommended for this type of filler.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may not be recommended for RHA® injections. Since these fillers contain lidocaine, you may not be able to undergo this treatment if you have a known allergy to this substance. You should not have underlying conditions such as bleeding disorders to ensure proper healing.

Your RHA® Collection Consultation

A consultation regarding RHA® fillers will include an examination of the patient’s face, skin, and age lines to establish which of the three unique fillers from the RHA® Collection is most effective for treatment. The patient’s medical history will also be reviewed to assess any risk factors that may be involved. Photographs may be taken for before-and-after comparison.

Cost of RHA® Injections

The cost of RHA® filler treatments will vary from one patient to another as determined by the individualized treatment plan. The overall price will reflect the type of filler used and the number of syringes needed to achieve the desired outcome.

The Treatment Session

The RHA® filler procedure will start with the cleansing of the target areas. After this, the chosen filler from the RHA® Collection will be injected into the area of treatment. The injection may reach into the deep-tissue layer under the skin for extensive correction of deep facial lines and folds.

This procedure usually lasts from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of injections needed. Each procedure is carried out in a precise manner to ensure the filler is spread evenly for natural and seamless results. Because lidocaine is contained in these fillers, treatment is not painful.

Dr. Cain and Dr. Richardson are both expert injectors who perform their own injections and can help you determine which products would be best to give you the results you desire based on your particular concerns during your consultation.

What Is Aftercare Like?

There is no recovery period or downtime needed after getting RHA® fillers, and discomfort is minimal. Redness, bruising, and irritation at the injection sites may be experienced but should disappear within the next few days. Instructions will be provided by the doctor to avoid sensitivity and exacerbated swelling.
