The Diode laser ensures deeper penetration, faster treatment session, minimizing the risk of side effects and optimizing results.
Most clients enjoy over 90 percent reduction in hair growth after consecutive 6 to 8 sessions of laser treatments. We offer individual sessions and various flexible packages to suit your individual needs and lifestyle.
What is laser hair removal?
The process of laser hair removal uses highly concentrated energy where light is emitted to targeted hair follicles. The laser’s energy is attracted to the pigment of hair. This damage inhibits or delays future growth of hair. With every treatment, you’ll progressively see fewer and fewer hairs return.
How is laser hair removal performed?
Laser hair removal is performed by applying an 810 nm diode laser handpiece to the skin and triggering the laser device to fire. This is performed in the clinic in a specified laser treatment room.
Is laser hair removal painful?
During the first few treatments, you’ll likely experience a stinging sensation with each laser pulse, however, there is minimal discomfort associated with it. Most patients compare the sensation to a snap of a rubber band with each pulse.
How many treatments of laser hair removal will I need?
Laser hair removal will only work on hair actively growing, since hair growth occurs in cycles. We recommend starting with a session of 6 treatments spaced out every 4-6 weeks to effectively treat an area. Depending on your skin color and the area being treated, there may be an increase in the number of recommended amount of sessions.
Can I do laser hair removal if I am pregnant?
It is not recommended to be treated with laser hair removal while pregnant.
Are there other contraindications to laser hair removal?
Common contraindications for Laser tattoo removal include (but are not limited to) pregnancy, breast feeding, sunburn, tanned skin, irritated skin, herpes virus, laser hair removal photosensitizing medications. Also, the laser will only target hair with darker pigment/color, if the hair is lighter it will not work effectively.
Is laser hair removal safe for all skin types and colors?
The laser needs to be able to differentiate between the color of the hair and the color of your skin, otherwise it has trouble ‘finding’ the hair; for darker skin types there can be a risk of a burn. It is important to test spot skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale over type 4.
Who a good candidate for laser hair removal?
The ideal candidate to receive laser hair removal effectively are lighter skin tones (types 1-3 on the Fitzpatrick scale) with darker pigmented hair.
Is laser hair removal safe?
Laser hair removal is safe when performed by a trained professional, and when the patient follows all the guidelines associated with the treatments.
What is the downtime with laser hair removal?
There is no downtime with laser hair removal. There may be some mild redness and short-lived irritation, but there should not be any skin breakdown or healing time involved.
What can I expect after laser hair removal?
Most patients can experience some mild erythema (redness) immediately following the treatment, however, this should resolve rather quickly.
